Donald Fann

Theater Arts Teacher/Director

Donald Fann currently serves as the Director of Theater at Stewarts Creek High School in Smyrna, TN where he founded the theater program upon the opening of the school. In three years, he developed the program into an award winning multifaceted program serving an audience of 6000 per year with a 500% increase in enrollment. In its short history Red Hawk Theater has garnered more state and regional recognition than any other theater program in Rutherford County.

Fann comes to Stewarts Creek after serving for 19 years as Executive Director of The Arts Center of Cannon County. He saw that organization grow from a local community theatre with an annual attendance of 3,000 into an award-winning regional Arts Center serving a worldwide audience of over 150,000 through its facility, web sites, publications, and recording projects.( read more).

Lindsey Duggin

Theater Arts Teacher/Director

Lindsey Mapes Duggin has been a professional performer and arts educator in the Nashville theatre community and surrounding areas for over 8 years. She graduated with her Masters in Education from MTSU in 2022 and a Bachelor's degree in theatre with and a minor in vocal performance in 2014. In the spring of 2012, she graduated from the Disney college program in Orlando Fl where she spent time as a character performer and took Entertainment courses in their Disney University.

For three years she held the position of Director of Arts Education at the Arts Center of Cannon County in Woodbury, Tn. While she was there she coordinated the “Young at Art” School show series that saw over 8,000 students a year from 5 different counties. She also ran their Summer Youth Conservatory program for students grades 1-12. She also oversaw costumes, designed and printed programs, solicited sponsorships, directed and produced performances, and wrote and defended grants on a state level . Directing, Performing, and Teaching theatre have always been her greatest passions. She believes deeply in the lessons that theatre can teach both on stage and off.

Dr. Brian Russell

Choir Teacher/ Music Director

Dr. Brian Russell comes to Stewarts Creek High School with over fifteen years of teaching experience in Tennessee, Illinois, and New York, during which he has led musical ensembles to outstanding success.

Dr. Russell received his Bachelor of Music from MTSU and his Masters and Doctoral degrees in Conducting from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Prior to his most recent appointment at Oakland High School he was Assistant Professor of Music at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, was on the choral faculty at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY, and taught high school in Sumner and Rutherford Counties. Dr. Susan Kelly

Choir Teacher/Music Director

Prior to coming to Stewarts Creek High School, Dr. Kelly served as an Assistant Professor of Music/Choral Director at Tennessee State University. She holds undergraduate degrees in Music Education and English Education from Wilkes University, Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting from Temple University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting from the University of South Carolina.
